Monash University Eastern Precinct Landscape
The public realm is the binding element of Monash University’s campus in Clayton, Victoria, and the eastern precinct enriches the campus experience.
A large lawn at the heart of the precinct is flanked by a designed Australian temperate forest. An elevated promenade and two shared pedestrian/bicycle connections stitch the site to the broader campus.
The project provides huge benefit as a liveable green space for a dense population of users and its design exemplifies successful navigation of the spatial experience beyond the visual finish.
