Sydney Water Waterway Health Improvement Program
McGregor Coxall along with Sydney Water have demonstrated an ambitious and outstanding strategy for the delivery of public open space across the Georges, Cooks and Parramatta River Catchments to achieve environmental outcomes and social outcomes.
The project demonstrates original leadership and thinking specifically through the integration of landscape and engineering principles organised by a multicriteria analysis to identify a range of targets for pollution removal, amenity and ecological improvement. This project is significant for its results in championing living infrastructure as a necessary component of structuring the city and has the possibility to influence local government and state policy further.
This strategy is an important piece of work that ensures ecological and social performance of landscapes is front of centre of urban in-fill development in Sydney.
